Well, we r winding down our month long Indonesia extravaganza and have one night left. It has been quite a journey full of fun, culture, friends, illnesses, and rice. We are anxious to get back home and eat some real food, and I don't care to taste rice again for at least a year! But needless to say it has been a grand adventure. We are dreading our 39 hour flight home, but are looking forward to the outcome. Thank you all for your prayers and continued support. We will post some pictures of our adventures after we sleep for a couple of days and readjust to the time difference:).
Blessings to all
we are out of here!

Favorite quotes from Indonesia
Here are some of our most favorite quotes from our trip:
(while stopped at a road block late at night)
"why do we have to pay here? Is it for the government?" asks autumn " no it is for the Mafia.... Our government doesn't dare try and stop them," says christopher.
"look at this scorpian I found down In the hotels garden!" Stephen
"we were looking for the neighbors chicken because it was missing, then the next day we found a python in their house that was fat. We cut itopen and found the chicken!". Victor
" I recently found two poisiones snakes in our house, I had to kill them." Victor
"if the cloud is wide- it rain all day.". Victor
"sorry it took me so long the streets are flooded.". Victor
"we no go to orphanage today, to dangerous, streets are under water" victor
We were going to pay for victor to come see the temple with us and he said, "I no pay, I am a local."
Victor is there a restroom I can use?(autumn) victor-" uhhm go follow her and take this (a flash light). I was led to a local style bathroom that has a hole in the ground.

indonesian hospital anyone?
Well .... A couple of days ago we decided we needed another adventure. On our way to breakfast on Saturday morning I (autumn) fell down the staires outside of our hotel and twisted yet again my bad ankle! My ankle instantly swelled up 4 times it's normal size and turned blue. Nick gathered me into his arms and took me back into our room. I layer there in intense agony with ice on it for an hour before Nicholas made the executive decision that we were going to the hospital. Now normally this is a comforting thought....but here in Bali I was not to thrilled with the idea as we pulled up to a dark, dirty small building. I was wheeled into their "emergency" room which is no bigger than a standard sized kitchen with 6 beds crammed close together with a blue cloth hanging to seperate the patients. I was ushered to the farthest bed as they took their hand along the top to brush it off from. The previous person and turn the pillow over(I wonder how many times it had been turned over and over before I got there). The doc came and pushed and pulled and tweaked my ankle asking in a different language if that hurt, as each time he did it, it sent nausia coarsing thru my body and I was blacking in and out from
the intense pain . The doc decides he needs an Xray and I am wheeled down many hallways past numerous locals laying in the halls with tubes and IVs sitting in their laps, to then sit in my rickity wheel chair in line behind 3 others and wait for my turn to get an xray. When my time comes I am wheeled into a cellar sized cement bare room
with an old as can be contraption that is apparantly the xray machine. I am to get on the table and hold still as they not so graciously twist and pull My ankle to get the right angle. Two xrays later and nausia still very present we wait a few minutes as they hand us the xray and we head back thru the maze of sick people passing by the other line of doctors gloves drying in the sun(nondisposable) back to the first too
. They swipe off the bloody gozz pads from this next bed and motion for me to get up there. Thankfully Nicholas has gotten to be with me the entire time( even in the xray--no protective xray coat provided to either of us) and he hoists me onto the soiled bed. The doc looks at the xray and says no broken bones probably ruptured many tendons. He gives me medicine(which I have yet to take for fear of what it is) a d they wrap my ankle tight and say start walking soon and u will be fine. So having just did this injury to this same ankle in septem we I know to not keep it wrapped and to stay off it and ice it.
Nicholas is then directed by a nurse to go pay as I try and not lay on the soiled bed but can not help it. 20 min later Nicholas comes back with mymeds and the best part was it only cost $66 without insurance!!
So having now been to a third world countries hospital (which i do not recommend) I am able to write in and check off one more thing from my "bucket list."
All is well now... I am limping around like a professional(as there is no such thing as crutches here) and am relaxing by the pool as our few remaining days here end...
